Southampton House of Prayer (SoHOP) is a prayer initiative organised by Christians from across Southampton, with a heart to serve and include all churches in the city.
We believe that Jesus is the hope for our city and are dedicated to seeking Him in prayer.
We are a part of 24-7 Prayer which is an international, interdenominational prayer movement with a vision to revive the church and rewire the culture through non-stop night and day prayer.
With the help of 24-7 Prayer and support of local church leaders a group of people passionate about prayer began our journey together in 2018. We met together each week to learn and pray and ask God how to set up the house of prayer. We hosted our first prayer room from January 2019. In November 2020 we were welcomed into the 24-7 Prayer family and commissioned to serve Southampton in prayer.
We are currently a small community lead by Jim Clarke, Francesca Mountford and Sally Ducellier, mainly walking the city of Southampton praying for the churches and believing for revival.
