Order of the Mustard Seed Admin Officer

Fixed-term (six months), part-time (3 days a week)

Join the 24-7 Prayer team!

The Order of the Mustard Seed (OMS) is a lay-led, globally dispersed, ecumenical religious order recognised by the Church of England. We currently have over 500 members globally dispersed across the world, a number that continues to grow year upon year. It is a community of Christians seeking to live out the order’s three core principles of being true to Christ, being kind to all people, and taking the gospel to the nations. The Order of the Mustard Seed is administered by 24-7 Prayer.

24-7 Prayer is an international, interdenominational Christian prayer movement with a vision to revive the church and rewire the culture through non-stop night and day prayer, mission and justice. We began 25 years ago when a simple student-led prayer vigil went viral and groups all over the world joined in to pray. Today, we have resourced more than 25,000 prayer rooms in almost half the nations on earth. We believe the world has never needed prayer more, so we have an ambitious vision for growth.

The role

Based in Waverley Abbey House near Farnham, Surrey (with optional hybrid working from home), we are looking to recruit a part-time Order of the Mustard Seed Admin Officer for 3 days a week. This person will work directly with our OMS Manager to support the work of The Order of the Mustard Seed.

You’ll have impeccable organisation and time management skills and the resilience and ability to work under pressure to sudden and tight deadlines. You’ll also have excellent communication and people skills and be able to work with integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential information. You will love getting the detail right and be highly organised.

We need an enthusiastic team player, with excellent computer literacy skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.

This role can include an element of hybrid working; however, it will require at least one day a week at Waverley Abbey (the employee can also work from the 24-7 offices in Woking).

If you’d like to apply for the role, please submit the following:

  1. Your CV
  2. A 1-page covering letter explaining why you are suitable for the role and why you would like to work at 24-7 Prayer.

N.B. If you do not upload both pieces of documentation your application will not be taken further.

  • Closing date for applications:  22 July 2024
  • Interview date: 31 July 2024 (in person in Waverley Abbey House)

(Please note: all applicants must have an existing legal status to work and reside in the UK)
