Freedom Church is all about ‘Leading people in the pursuit of Jesus to see lives and communities transformed’. We love to be creative and innovative in sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to Romsey, the surrounding area, and the nations. We love to be influential, far beyond our natural limits, to regularly see lives transformed through a clear invitation to encounter Jesus. We want to be a catalyst to help believers mature in their faith and become fully equipped to lead others. We hold tightly to our values: Encounter, Gather, Grow and Influence.
We stand on the shoulders of giants. Freedom Church is a result of a God-soaked history and began when the foundations of Freedom Church were laid in 1978, when four people started gathering together in a home. The vision was simply to do Church differently. In 2015, in order to mark a number of significant changes including the setting up of a Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Debt Centre and the Romsey Foodbank, we changed our name from New Life Church to Freedom Church.
