We started our Gathering this year by asking some of our national team leaders to share what God has been saying to them in their nation. Welcome Christelle from Lebanon, Šárka from Czech Republic, Alicia from GB, Debi from Switzerland and Sabine from Germany!
Pete Portal spoke powerfully about what it looks like be an unsuccessful prayer movement and how our pain can either be transferred onto others or be transformed by giving it to God. “An unsuccessful prayer movement will measure itself by two metrics: the presence of Jesus, leading us to love the poor… We need to remember that the purpose of our life lies beyond ourselves”
“One of the most important things as we pursue revival is that God is looking for men and women who are willing to sow with tears… We need an awakening. God is just searching. Is there anyone willing to sow for it?” Sarah Breuel spoke passionately on trailing prayer and the power of continuing to pray and to intercede for what is on God's heart.
“One of the reasons so many people I invite to these gatherings struggle to come is that they have a sense that if they come they will be wrecked. May I please urge you to stay that way. Would you please keep wrecking the body of Christ?… you know that you are a letter to Christ embodying the primacy of grace to his world, embodying the primacy of his presence. God bless you for that - please keep it up.
