Proximity Church is a community shaped by the presence of Jesus, seeking to live lives of prayer, hospitality, and mission together. We gather around tables in homes each week to share meals, pray, and follow Jesus in everyday life, and we come together on Sundays for worship, prayer, and teaching. We carry a vision to see our town transformed by the love of God, believing renewal begins with prayer and overflows into everyday acts of compassion, generosity, and justice. Our desire is to cultivate a people who love God deeply, love others well, and faithfully join in God’s work of renewal.
Proximity Church began in 2007 as a one-year experiment. It started with a handful of families gathering around a table to eat, pray, and explore a different way of being church together. As the community grew, a house set aside for prayer and hospitality became a place full of shared meals, worship, celebration, and friendship. What began as a simple step of faith soon became something much bigger than we imagined. Almost 20 years later, we continue to build on those early foundations, grateful for God’s faithfulness and expectant for all that He still has ahead of us.
