At Navah (an ancient word meaning “to bring home” and “make beautiful”), we believe Jesus is inviting His Church back to a simple, relational, Spirit-led way of life. We are a church centered on Jesus, with a desire to be disciples who live in loving union with him. We are dedicated to being and making disciples who are growing in three loves: Prayerful (Love God), Family (Love One Another), and Mission (Love the World). The primary way we express this shared life of love is in HOME CHURCHES. Following Jesus means that we love what He loves and share in His dream to see a world made beautiful once again.
Our story stems back to the kingdom seed of friends in love with Jesus, praying and dreaming together. After moving into a foreclosed drug house on the east side of Kansas City in 2003, a few months later they met Pete and Sammy Greig and were joyfully hijacked into the 24-7 Prayer movement. The Greigs moved to KC and helped establish 24-7 Prayer USA and later commissioned this growing family of friends, then called the KC Boiler Room in 2005. A decade of fumbling on the tripping edge of the kingdom would bring wild adventures, a growing multi-generational family forged through fire, and a deepening maturity in our identity as beloved sons and daughters in Christ. Prompted by the Father, we changed our name at our 10th anniversary to Navah, reflecting the Spirit’s work in us and through us
