We describe ourselves as a bunch of ordinary people who believe that they are caught up in an extraordinary story all about how God has sought to bring healing and restoration to this world through the life, death, and resurrection of his Son, Jesus. We also believe that God invites us to help co-author this story by partnering with him so that our lives are orientated toward for the good of our neighbours, the flourishing of our community, and for the glory of God.
The church that is now known as ‘The Gathering’ grew out of a relational network of Christians who were either living, working, or praying together in North Leatherhead. Things have developed over time and we currently find ourselves as one of the founding members of a thriving local community hub where we meet regularly and find ourselves deeply involved in the joys and sorrows of our neighbourhood. At the heart of who we are and what we are about are our five core values of a Shared Faith, Shared Lives, Shared Practices, Shared Purpose, and a Shared Place.
