Meet the Community

24-7 House of Prayer Community Sheffield is a people and place set aside as a furnace of prayer and worship for the Church, for the city, for the nations. We seek to embody prayer, mission and justice, to see transformation through the healing of the land and reconciliation of God’s people.

To join in the creativity of God and join in His mission across the city and region through rhythms of prayer and worship, Street Prayer and wherever we are invited. Welcoming people into a place of belonging, safety and healing around the Table.

As Houses of Prayer we long to be consecrated  to the presence of the Jesus and to each other being formed in, through and around Him.

Our Story

Gill and Will Briggs and their family began 24-7 Prayer Sheffield as God called them to the city with the dream of starting a House of Prayer in an urban setting. Through living as a growing household of faith during Covid, the Community grew to become a House of Prayer.

We grew out of a deep calling to prayer for the local community, the citywide Church and the nation. Discovering that our local community is an international microcosm for the population of the city, God called us to become a House of Prayer for the city and nations. Through living together counter- culturally we seek to establish a way of life in the presence of Jesus, being local missional bridge builders. Since then this vision has expanded to include not only the city, but the region, the North of England and the whole nation.
