House of Prayer Flakkee is a prayer movement on Goeree-Overflakkee, an island in the southwest of the Netherlands. We long to see unity and revival in the various churches on the island. Our prayer room is our home base where we encourage people to pray and then go out, to live out mission and justice.
It all started in 2021 with the dream of the island united in prayer. A small community started to gather and pray. After a few years, in 2024, we joined the Year of Prayer in the Netherlands. Over 400 people came to our pop-up prayer room to worship and pray non-stop for 6 weeks. In that prayer room one entrepreneur got touched by one of the prayers for a specific area on the island. A few weeks later he saw a building for sale and bought it for us. We have opened our first permanent prayer room in December 2025.
