Harbour Community Church is a small community on the West Coast of Ireland who carry a desire to pursue God together & reflect Him to our world. Our heart is to see ourselves and others restored by Jesus, becoming confident of the Father’s love and being led by the Holy Spirit in our core values of prayer, mission and justice, for the flourishing of everyone who calls North Mayo home.
We gather multiple times per week for prayer, worship, to practice hospitality & to learn from Scripture together.
Throughout the ages, God has moved in beautiful ways in North Mayo. Our area is filled with ancient reminders of God’s people being on mission here – from St. Patrick to the Dominicans, an Augustinian Centre of Learning and 2 Franciscan Friaries, one of which housed married couples who wanted to commit themselves to a life of prayer and looking after the poor.
In more recent years, God led 2 people from our community in 2002 to live intentional lives of hospitality, as they began opening up their home for their neighbours to receive prayer and church leaders to have space for retreats. In 2023, God led the Bailie family to move into the area and join them in asking ‘What seeds of prayer & mission lie dormant in the ground here?’, ‘What needs to be reawakened, restored & rebuilt so that the goodness of God will be known in our day?’
Since then, others with a similar heart and yearning began to join us as we sought the Lord for His direction & dream for our area. We now are a lively bunch of adults and children who seek to live prayerful lives on mission together.
