Every summer, our Czech team, Modlitby 24-7, take to the streets of their nation in a mobile prayer caravan, and offer coffee and prayer to the people they meet. This summer has been no different, and Kristýna from the Czech team has shared this inspiring update:

Our main vision for the prayer caravan is to share the love God has for his children, and to share our faith with people we meet.  Every year, we’re able to grow: this year we have two caravans, and also a new prayer tent!

So far, we’ve met hundreds of people and have given out free coffee, listened to their problems and shared what God’s done for us, and what he can do for them. I’m always delighted to see how God is using us to spread his love and seeing how our work bears fruit. There is no average day at the prayer caravan, but there are some amazing stories so far:

A man with two kids stopped at our caravan as he was walking by. He started to talk about his life, and the hard things he had been through. One of our volunteers shared that he believed God has something better prepared for him and he couldn’t believe what he heard! He started to cry, so the volunteer shared that he should allow Jesus into his life; that Jesus’ presence will bring peace and relief from anxiety.

At least eight people have already given their life to Jesus this summer…

Another time, we met a girl who came to the prayer caravan and ended up staying to talk for a long time. She said she would like to give her life to Jesus because it made sense to her, so we prayed together and gave her a Bible. When we met her the next day, she had already read 11 chapters of it!

We chatted to another girl and asked if she wanted prayer for anything. She didn’t say anything at first, but then said that she would like prayer for the relationships in her life. As they were praying, one volunteer had a word of knowledge that her relationship with her father was bad. He prayed for restoration, and shared with her that whatever happens, she will always have a heavenly father who will love her unconditionally. We then found out that this girl had just spoken to someone else about an issue with her father. She was encouraged and uplifted by the prayer and revelation that was shared.

At least eight people have already given their life to Jesus this summer, and we’ve had incredible experiences with others who have shared their lives with us, allowed us to pray for them and heard about the transformation that Jesus brings.

It is the Holy Spirit who is working in us to share what people need to hear, and we’re so grateful that we can serve Jesus in this way.
