Rooted in prayer, community, and justice, Tree of Life seeks to centre those often overlooked, and to pursue God’s kingdom together. Through our ministries, we walk alongside those seeking healing and restoration. We dream of the shalom of Manenberg.
Tree of Life is a group of friends – some born and bred in Manenberg, some who have relocated into Manenberg – dreaming with Jesus, prayer walking, and simply trying to respond to young adults in our community who are battling with substances, violence and abuse. Through prayer and community, we became convinced that living together might be the way and so we set up two residential discipleship homes, one for young men, and 1 for young women and their kids.
10 years on, we have just bought the Manenberg Healing Centre – a place where we hope to offer spaces of healing for the rest of Manenberg.
