Week: Jesus' Miracles
Each day we will simply pray (P.R.A.Y.) together.
P: PAUSING to be still.
R: REJOICING with a Memory Verse and REFLECTING on some verses from the Bible.
A: ASKING God to help us and others.
Y: saying YES to God’s ways.
We start by pausing and taking a deep breath:
In and out.
In and out.
We remember that God is here, and so together we prepare ourselves to be with God.
Pause
Jesus, we want to know You more and we want to better understand the way You want us to live. As we consider Your miracles, we prepare our hearts to follow You.
We REJOICE and celebrate God’s goodness with this week’s memory verse:

John 17:3
And this is eternal life: that people know you, the only true God, and that they know Jesus Christ, the One you sent.
John 17:3 (NCV)
God, help us to remember Your Word.
Once there was a man whose son was very ill. The man had heard about Jesus and the amazing things that Jesus could do, so he travelled a long way to find Him. When the man met Jesus and asked Him for help, Jesus said that his son would be healed. Today, we’re REFLECTING on what happened next.

John 4:51-53
On the way [back] the man’s servants came and met him and told him, ‘Your son is alive.’ The man asked, ‘What time did my son begin to get well?’ They answered, ‘Yesterday at one o’clock the fever left him.’ The father knew that one o’clock was the exact time that Jesus had said, ‘Your son will live.’ So the man and all the people who lived in his house believed in Jesus.
John 4:51-53 (NCV)
The boy had started to feel better at the exact time that Jesus had said to his father, ‘Your son will live!’ Isn’t that incredible? The man knew that it wasn’t just a coincidence – it was Jesus who had healed his son, even from a distance.
As a result of experiencing the love and the healing power of Jesus, the man’s whole family believed that Jesus was God’s Son and decided to become His followers.
The man travelled a long way to meet Jesus. Let’s press pause and talk about today’s question, which is: What is the longest journey we have ever taken? What can we remember about the journey?
And now, we ASK God to help us and others.
Lord God, the Bible is filled with stories about people coming to You with their needs, and about the ways that You helped them. We ASK for faith, to believe that You will help us too whenever we are in need.
Now let’s think of someone we know who isn’t well.
Jesus, please help them and heal them. We ASK You to put right whatever is wrong in their bodies, and in their minds too – please heal them and make them whole.
As we read the Bible again, let’s listen for a word or a phrase that the Holy Spirit might want to say to us from today’s verses.

What word or phrase stood out from today’s Bible verses?
And now, let’s say YES to God together.
Father God, thank You that You sent Your Son, Jesus, to demonstrate Your love and Your awesome power. We say YES to trusting You and asking for Your help when we need it.
After enjoying this time with God and each other, let’s say our memory verse together:
John 17:3
And this is eternal life: that people know you, the only true God, and that they know Jesus Christ, the One you sent.
John 17:3 (NCV)
Let’s put a hand on our heart.
Father God, fill us with Your love. Help us to love You, and everything that You’ve made.
Let’s point to our eyes.
Lord Jesus, help us to see You, and to see others the way that You see them too.
Let’s point to our ears.
Holy Spirit, help us to hear You, and give us courage to do what You say.
