Joining the 24-7 Community Networks is less about becoming a member of an organisation and more like joining a family with a set of shared values. Every community seeks to be blessed by and be a blessing to every other community in the larger ecosystem of the 24-7 Community Networks.
As Communities explore the possibility of joining the 24-7 Community Networks, the best place to begin is to start getting your Community and Leadership team familiar with the 24-7 Prayer movement’s vision, values and practices and to begin building relationships with others who are already a part of the 24-7 Community Networks. The next step is the Welcome Process.
This one-to-two-year exploration and discernment process helps potential new communities understand the vision, values and practices of 24-7 Prayer and the community networks. Once completed, we welcome and commission new communities at our gatherings.
When a community expresses an initial interest in exploring connection with 24-7 Community Networks they are invited to attend events such as regional or international gatherings and our Global Collectives to learn more about us. At this point communities will start to receive our Quarterly Updates helping them gain an understanding of what is going on in 24-7 Community Networks and the wider 24-7 Prayer movement.
As relationships deepen, a Community Networks Leadership Team member visits the community to meet leaders and, where possible, the wider church. Together they discern whether to enter the Welcome Process. If agreed, a leader is assigned to guide the next stage, with communities receiving monthly newsletters and invitations to relevant Network Collectives, and building ongoing connection and participation.
Take part in three conversations with the community’s leadership team, each introduced by a short video highlighting key aspects of 24-7 Community Networks.
If, at the end of the ‘Key Conversation’ stage, we have mutually discerned that we would like to enter into a more recognised and public form of partnership together, we will officially commission and pray for this community at the next appropriate regional Gathering.
