5 minute Guide to Pray for the South Asia Tidal Wave Crisis

How are we to make ourselves relevant to the suffering of this moment in history?  We can all fast, we can all give sacrificially and we can all pray into five very specific areas of urgent need. Take just a minute on each of the points below...
  1. Prayer for victims many are still missing and injuries are massive.  Pray for  medical and relief organizations as they offer care to those injured and the families of those missing and killed.  Pray those missing would be found alive.
  2. Prayer for water and sanitation the job of providing clean water will be massive.  Pray for organizations looking after this area.  Pray sickness and infection spread by water would be at a minimum.
  3. Prayer for government and military pray that materials would arrive where they are most needed and that corruption would not hinder the arrival of goods.  Pray that local warlords in many of the countries affected would not interfere in the safe arrival of aid.
  4. Prayer for those co-ordinating the efforts. That they would have endurance (many won't be sleeping much in the days ahead), for good communication between organizations, and for the safe arrival of aid workers to the regions that need help.
  5. Pray for tectonic peace. that further earthquakes and killer waves would not occur.
