Sticky Note Prayers is more than just a book – it’s the story of a movement that began with one sticky note on a classroom wall… and has since reached over 1 million children and young people in more than 7,000 prayer spaces across at least 35 countries.
Sticky Note Prayers tells the story (so far) of what God is doing in these extraordinary, ordinary spaces.
Written by Phil Sokell-Miles (previously Phil Togwell), this book weaves together stories, research, and real-life reflection — offering hope, insight, and practical tools for anyone wanting to create prayerful and reflective spaces for the next generation.
“I spent two hours close to tears as the pupil’s responses took my breath away… I wasn’t prepared for was the depth with which they would engage with the prayer space.’ – Head of Religious Education, UK
Sticky Note Prayers invites you to imagine the impact of simple, creative prayer spaces in schools – where children and young people can reflect, ask big questions, and encounter God in personal, life-changing ways.
“Since we’ve done this I think nothing is impossible, and I can do anything with God.” — Isi, Germany

“For everyone who’s prayed in a 24-7 Prayer Room and wondered what could happen next… this book could be the next part of your adventure.”
Phil Sokell-Miles (formerly Phil Togwell) lives in the North of England with his family (wife, daughters, foster-mums/babies, lodgers and dogs).
Phil trained and worked in all sorts of Youth and Community settings before joining the 24-7 Prayer movement as its first UK National Director.
Phil now leads 24-7 Prayer’s Prayer Spaces in Schools ministry.
The first prayer spaces in schools happened in 2007.
Christians in four towns across England, each working with their local schools, took the model of a 24-7 Prayer Room and adapted it for a school setting. Since then the idea has spread rapidly, inspiring the creation of thousands of prayer spaces in schools in more than 37 countries.
The aim is to enable children and young people in schools across the world to explore life’s questions, spirituality, and faith in a safe, creative, and interactive way.
