The work of 24-7 Prayer Canada is led by Aisha Sharifa, and helps churches and organizations cultivate a deep and comprehensive culture of prayer, mission and justice that impacts their cities for the Gospel. Canada is at a moment of renewed hunger for prayer.
The 24-7 Prayer movement in America started gaining traction in 2001 as churches and groups explored fresh new ways to pray and encounter God in interactive 24-7 Prayer Rooms. We’ve been collectively praying non-stop in 24-7 Prayer Rooms since 2003. 24-7 Prayer USA officially began in 2004, and a few years later launched an initiative called Campus America, which mobilised college students in over a thousand campuses across the nation to seek God and pray. Since then, 24-7 Prayer USA has oriented faith communities, houses of prayer, prayer initiatives, and mission and justice efforts have continued to multiply around the nation.
