Week: Creativity - God's creativity in us
Each day we will simply pray (P.R.A.Y.) together.
P: PAUSING to be still.
R: REJOICING with a Memory Verse and REFLECTING on some verses from the Bible.
A: ASKING God to help us and others.
Y: saying YES to God’s ways.
We start by pausing and taking a deep breath:
In and out.
In and out.
We remember that God is here, and so together we prepare ourselves to be with God.
Pause
Creator God, You formed us from dust, breathe in us again. We’re ready for the new things that You want to show us and say to us and even create through us today.
We REJOICE and celebrate God’s goodness with this week’s memory verse:

Psalm 104:24
Lord, you have made many things; with your wisdom you made them all. The earth is full of your riches.
Psalm 104:24
God, help us to remember Your Word.
Today we are reflecting on how Paul describes the church, and how we can carry God’s message to the world.

2 Corinthians 3:2-3
You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. You show that you are a letter from Christ sent through us. This letter is not written with ink but with the Spirit of the living God. It is not written on stone tablets but on human hearts.
2 Corinthians 3:2-3 (NCV)
Most of us don’t write letters anymore, but many years ago it was the main way that people communicated. So what Paul is saying in this passage is that God communicates His love to our hearts, and then out through our lives to other people. As we understand and carry the message of God’s love in our hearts, people around us ‘read’ it in our lives.
Let’s press pause and talk about today’s question, which is: When was the last time we sent or received a letter, or maybe a card?
To share the message of God’s love with others, we first need to receive it ourselves. Let’s do this together, using a breath prayer.
Let’s breathe in and then say, we receive your love.
(Breathe in) We receive Your love
And then breathe out and say, And we share it with the world.
(Breathe out) And we share it with the world.
Let’s do it one more time together.
(Breathe in) We receive Your love
(Breathe out) And we share it with the world.
Let’s think about a place we know of in the world that needs to receive God’s message of love.
Creator God, we ASK You to send Your love messages to all the places in our world where there is more hate than love. Give Your church courage to carry and share this message, even when it’s hard.
As we read the Bible again, let’s listen for a word or a phrase that the Holy Spirit might want to say to us from today’s verses.
What word or phrase stood out from today’s Bible verses?
And now, let’s say YES to God together.
Loving God, Your message of love is for everyone. We say YES, we will share it with the world!
After enjoying this time with God and each other, let’s say our memory verse together:
Psalm 104:24
Lord, you have made many things; with your wisdom you made them all. The earth is full of your riches.
Psalm 104:24 (NIVUK)
Let’s put a hand on our heart.
Father God, fill us with Your love. Help us to love You, and everything that You’ve made.
Let’s point to our eyes.
Lord Jesus, help us to see You, and to see others the way that You see them too.
Let’s point to our ears.
Holy Spirit, help us to hear You, and give us courage to do what You say.
