“A new abbey for a new generation”
– Pete Greig, founder of 24-7 Prayer
The site of Waverley Abbey will become a place of
Encounter: A House of Prayer for the Nations
Education: A Christian university
Enterprise: An incubator of ethical businesses
Engagement: A centre of missional engagement
The shared vision of 24-7 Prayer and CWR will expand and build on the work already established by CWR at the Abbey. 24-7 Prayer’s founder Pete Greig has joined the new Waverley Abbey Trust Board of Trustees alongside 24-7 Prayer trustee Chris Kuchanny. This new board is chaired by Ken Costa, chairman emeritus of Alpha International.
“This isn’t just about looking backwards, although historically Waverley Abbey is a place of extraordinary prayer. This is about the future – a new Abbey for a new generation. Our vision for this site is to revive the heart of the Abbey by establishing here a house of prayer for all nations, a new Christian university and a hive of gospel endeavour.”
