Set them Free: UPDATE
Two men in Sudan have been given lengthy prison sentences, all because of an act of kindness.
The other two have been released from prison, but we can't stop fighting now.
Their only crime was helping to raise money to treat a badly burned young man who had taken part in a student protest. Yet, for their act of kindness Reverend Hassan and Mr Abdumawla were sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment each. Their families wept openly in court as the verdict was delivered.
Reverend Hassan and Mr Abdumawla have done nothing wrong, but are now held in a maximum security prison. They desperately need your support and prayers.
Join us and CSW to call for their immediate release.
Lord, please bring comfort and strength to these men as they face unjust prison sentences simply for helping someone in need. Please comfort their families, and change the hearts of the authorities so that the men can go free.

Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) works in over 20 countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, defending everyone’s right to freedom of religion or belief.
Three quarters of the world’s population lives in countries with severe restrictions on their religious freedom – in fact, it’s one of the most widely-violated human rights in the world.
We think this is unacceptable. We’re working to change it. Our vision is of a world where everyone is free to choose their beliefs – to hold and practice any religion they like, or none at all.
