Herrnhut Pilgrimage 2020
Dates: 13 - 18 June 2020
Cost: £410 (Plus flights and insurance)
Min Age: 18
Places Available: 20
We're co-ordinating a pilgrimage to Herrnhut, where the community of the Moravian Church, founded by Count Nicholas Ludwig von Zinzendorf, was established.
This pilgrimage has been particularly designed to suit those who:
- Carry a seed of vision that's struggling to burst into life;
- Carry a sense of purpose, though need some clarity to make the next step
- Would value time to get away wth the Lord in a historic place of significance - practically helping those who are there, and hungry to hear from God.
Applications for the trip will need to include a clear reference, and helpful details that relate to at least one of these three areas of suitability.
To apply, please download the following application form and return to firstname.lastname@example.org or the postal address listed on the form
As there are only 20 places available on this mission trip, you'll be contacted soon after the application deadline with confirmation if you are suitable for this mission trip.
Read more information in the "WHAT TO EXPECT" section.
What to expect
You'll begin your time in the beautiful city of Prague, where the team will explore the city together and stay overnight, before travelling to Herrnhut.
You'll be staying in Jesus-Haus - a house of prayer for all nations, and alongside the team will participate in the rhythms of the community including regular prayer and worship time.
Early morning prayer: 6am Mon - Fri
Morning devotion: 8am Mon - Fri
Evening worship: 5pm Mon-Thurs and Sat
There will also be personal time, practically serving at Jesus-Haus, and visiting sites of interests in the local area.
Please note that this team will be participating in pilgrimage and retreat, rather than mission. Travel to sites of interest will be taking place on foot, so bring good walking shoes.
OPTIONAL EXTRA DAYS:
The team at Jesus Haus have a strong practice of Sabbath Rest - if you'd like to experience their Sabbath rest practice, you can stay beyond the official end of the trip on Thursday morning. Shabbat begins at 6.00pm on Friday evenings and ends on Saturday evening.
There will be extra costs to stay for Shabbat at Jesus-Haus. Depending on the number of team willing to stay, this cost may be able to be distributed between everyone.
