24-7 Prayer in the Czech Republic began in 2007, with the launch of the first Czech Prayer room. Since then, prayer chains have been organised in more than 40 places. In 2017, we stepped out in prayer and mission to travel around the nation every summer with a Prayer caravan, to love people, pray with them and share the gospel.
The Czech team is led by Daniel Raška and there are three members.
24-7 Prayer started in 1999 in Great Britain when a group students on the south coast of England prayed without ceasing for three months. For more than two decades, churches, students and community groups have learned to pray through creative 24-7 Prayer Rooms. In 2020 we resourced over 1,000 prayer rooms across Great Britain, and helped thousands of people engage with prayer, mission and justice.
The GB team is served by a team led by Carla Harding.

24-7 Prayer Ireland started not long after the first prayer room in the UK around 2001, and the church in Ireland quickly caught a vision for non-stop prayer which catalysed mission and justice. The national team was established in 2002 and today we have a small team and an incredible group of volunteers and champions across the country. 24-7 Prayer Ireland works both in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland, with a heart for unity across the island.
The 24-7 Prayer Ireland team is led by Lucy Hill, with three team members and volunteer support.
In January 2012, Pete Greig spoke at two separate conferences for churches and students, resulting in fourteen 24-7 prayer rooms in the country. Students encountered God in new, fresh ways in prayer rooms, and that became the beginning of 24-7 Prayer in the Netherlands.
Today, we help student associations and organizations of different denominations to grow in prayer, mission and justice.
The team in the Netherlands currently has two members and are in the process of establishing a new team leader.
24-7 Prayer Scotland began in 2008 when a little church in Ayrshire began praying night and day in a dining room, leading to the establishment of the 24-7 Prayer Scotland national team in 2010. Today we are excited to see hundreds of churches and communities across Scotland engaging in prayer, mission, and justice, with many taking prayer out of the prayer room and into their communities in fun and creative ways.
The team is led by Crystal Cryer and there are five other team members.
24-7 Prayer in Spain started in a basement in Valladolid, Spain at an annual youth conference, Contracorriente, Pete Greig records the moment in his book, Red Moon Rising:
“The feeling of God’s presence is strong. 50 young Spaniards have just spent the night here, praying and crying.”
Aitor and Loida lead 24-7 Prayer Spain alongside a group of 6 volunteers.
24-7 Prayer started in Sweden soon after the launch of 24-7 Prayer in England; many people were quick to catch the fire. In 2014, a house of prayer was launched in Gothenburg, and they have been hosting regular prayer ever since.
At The Gathering 2021, the first Swedish 24-7 Prayer community was commissioned, and Maria Fagré was also commissioned as the national leader of 24-7 Prayer Sweden.
Maria Fagré leads the 24-7 Prayer team in Sweden and is building a leadership team and board of directors.
The first Swiss prayer room took place in 2000, in Thun. Susanna Rychiger, a good friend of Pete Greig, brought 24-7 Prayer to Switzerland; the first country outside of the UK to run non-stop prayer. From 2002 – 2005, 24-7 Prayer grew, and in 2006 there was a year of continuous prayer. 24-7 Prayer CH was established in 2007. Today, we have 70 prayer rooms every year.
Deborah Zimmermann leads the team in Switzerland with two others on the leadership team.
