The Meeting Place is a small church in the north end of Hamilton where the hungry are welcome. We share simple worship followed by a meal every Sunday afternoon. We meet in 541 Eatery and Exchange, which during the week is a not for profit cafe where a core staff team alongside 150 volunteers make and serve homemade food to people, and invite everyone to the table whether they can pay or not. This is possible because people ‘pay it forward’, purchasing buttons as tokens for others to use. We have a prayer room, and a youth outreach ministry that supports and disciples local youth as they face the challenges of growing up in one of the poorest areas of our city.
Our ministry is very restricted due to covid, but hopefully the pandemic will not last forever.
