Our charism is formation and prayer. We take our name from Jeremiah 17:17, Psalm 1 and Revelation 21. Our heart’s desire is to live lives that are rooted, flourishing and fruitful in Jesus. There’s three ways we are living into this desire:
We like to say that our story began 800 years ago because our HOP is built on the site of an ancient Franciscan Friary. We’re taking up their legacy of prayer for our city. Today’s Community was established by the vision of our Bishop, Martyn Snow, who wanted to make prayer a priority in this Diocese. In 2017 a small group began meeting to pray and dream. By 2019, our Diocese had purchased and refurbished a large house in the city centre, right opposite the Cathedral and we opened our doors to our first residential cohort.
Now Our monthly rhythms include
… and a joyful, messy mix of prayer walks, creativity, families and food.
