#Geneva16: Auction Theme REVEALED! - 1 Aug 2016

With less than 3 months until we gather in the beautiful city of Geneva for this year’s 24-7 Conference, it’s time to get creative....

It’s become something of a tradition at our conferences to host an auction as part of our celebrations.

Not just any old auction, however.

This is an extravagant display of generosity that takes place after our party on the Saturday evening, where people bid HUNDREDS of pounds for simple homemade items like t-shirts and scarves, knowing that the money will be given to those who need it most.

Over the years, our auctions have become an absolute highlight of meeting together, and this year we’re very excited to announce that the theme is:

SLIPPERS!

As the European nights become longer and colder, we know that finding a cosy pair of indoor shoes can be tricky. And this is where we come in…

Your challenge is to get knitting, sewing or decorating the most beautiful, creative and warm slippers for the winter season and beyond.

This is all you have to do:

  1. Get creative: Start knitting, sewing or decorating your slippers and remember - the more elaborate the better; they’ll be shown off to everyone in the conference!

  2. Get Packing: While it might be a little too early to be sorting your suitcase, remembering your beautiful homemade slippers is a vital (we repeat, VITAL) part of making the auction a success.

  3. Get Bidding: Come prepared to give - whether on your own or clubbing together with others, our auctions are an incredible expression of generosity for others, and it’s all thanks to you.

With a few months to go, you’ve got plenty of time to get creative. We look forward to seeing you in Geneva, slippers in-hand (or on feet) to be auctioned off!

Disclaimer: due to the increasing size of our conferences, there’s a small possibility that your slippers may not actually end up being auctioned but we're hoping for as many pairs as possible!

And if all this talk of slippers has made you suddenly keen to book your ticket, head to 24-7prayer.com/geneva16.
