Social Media Challenge: Tweet your thanks on International Women’s DayCarla Harding - 8 Mar 2013

Take part in a global event and bless the women who’ve shaped your faith and life the most!

Today is International Women’s Day. It began in the early 20th Century when women rose up to protest gender inequality in voting rights, education and pay.  Though some issues still exist a century later, International Women’s Day is now also a celebration of the progress achieved globally, and a chance to honour the women in our life. (In many nations it shares a similar status to Mother’s Day!)

To celebrate this day, 24-7 Prayer has social media challenge to you…

Choose one woman

  • She can be famous or familiar, but choose someone who has had a big impact on your faith
  • Thank God and pray for her today
  • Tweet, blog or Facebook a photo of them and tell the world why you’re grateful for this person on #womensday

Here’s my choice:

Bernie Trundle, my Mum.

She has taught me about selfless love, faithfulness to God and a good sense of humour.

Thank you Mum!

Who will you choose?

Pray, post a photo and spread the word about the #247challenge on #womensday.
