Pete Greig talks pain & prayer on national televisionCarla Harding - 15 Jun 2012

God is good but life can hurt like hell.

Pete Greig shares about balancing faith with living in the pain of unanswered prayer in this brilliant video made for the UK national television broadcaster Channel 4.

Responding to the question "What's been your most important prayer?" Pete joins people of other faiths and none in the channel's 4thought series.  Click the image below to watch Pete talk about the most important prayer he's ever prayed...

The story doesn't end there….

God heard their prayers - Sammy lived and is seizure free! She now lives in Guildford (UK) where she, along with Pete, raise their two beautiful children and play a key part in the running of Emmaus Road Community Church (a 24-7 Boiler Room).

If you find yourself in a season of having to pray some of your most difficult prayers then Pete's book God on Mute engages with some of the questions that video explores, you can pick it up in the 24-7 Shop.

What's the most important prayer you've ever prayed and how do you keep faith and hope alive when God doesn't respond in the way and time you want?  Share your thoughts in the comments below.
