Connecting in the BalkansPhilip Evans - 1 Mar 2011

Last year 30 or so friends from across the Balkans and beyond gathered in the historic lakeside town of Ohrid in Macedonia to dream and pray for their region and connect with one another in the second regional Balkan gathering.

This year the 24-7 Balkan Connect gathering looks like it will be involve more people from more nations  as once again 24-7ers gather in the South Eastern corner of Europe for 3 days of praying and connecting.

The Glasnost community in Macedonia would like to invite you to join us at the 24-7 Balkan Connect gathering this June.

Last years gathering was a significant time together and this year promises to be something special. We'll be joined by friends from around the world and expect more people and a greater diversity of nations than in 2010.

The dates for the gathering this year are 16-18th June 2011 - Ohrid, Macedonia.

We already know that a number of people are expected from outside the Balkans, with friends from Germany and Finland planning road trips down through Europe for the time in Ohrid.

The focus of the 3 days together will be on equipping, networking and encouaraging one another for what the father is doing in the region. The focus and context is very much on The Balkans, but we’re inviting friends from all 4 corners of the earth to join us for a special time in special place.

Contact Phil Evans  for more information or book your place online now.

In case you needed further convincing check out the videos below:

The first is a promo video for the town and lake of Ohrid - The place is simply stunning and has a spiritual significance in sending out 2,500 missionaries across the Balkans and through Russia during the 10th Century.

The Second is a short film introducing the Glasnost Community in Macedonia made by Shea Sizemore.
