A prayer for the ongoing uncertainty of the Coronavirus Pandemic

    3 Min Read

    17 December 2021

Emmanuel, God with us, we fix our eyes on you today, in a world that feels uncertain and unsafe.

Thank you that you are not distant. You are Emmanuel, God with us.

Wonderful Counsellor, bring your wisdom and guidance to our governments, as they make challenging decisions that will impact nations. Show them how to protect and support all people; the richest and the poorest, the youngest and the oldest. You are the Wonderful Counsellor who upholds and guides.

Thank you that you are not distant. You are Emmanuel, God with us.

Mighty God, we invite your power to move across our globe. Let life-saving vaccines become swiftly available all over the world. Give supernatural capacity for healthcare systems in our nations. You are the Mighty God who brings healing and life.

Thank you that you are not distant. You are Emmanuel, God with us.

Everlasting Father, draw near to those who have Coronavirus today. Be their comfort in their weariness, and their strength in their weakness. And for those who are weeping and mourning because of the loss of someone they love, give your consolation and loving support. You are the Everlasting Father who does not turn away.

Thank you that you are not distant. You are Emmanuel, God with us.

Prince of Peace, guard our minds and bodies from the anxiety and fear that this current uncertainty brings. We ask for your powerful peace and loving presence to be around us and within us. You are the Prince of Peace who surrounds and protects.

Thank you that you are not distant. You are Emmanuel, God with us.

As we draw closer to the celebration of Your birth, Jesus, we hope in you today. You are the God who came to our world to save.

    Emmanuel, you are with us.
