Spread the Vision

The Vision of 24-7 Prayer has spread virally through word-of-mouth, experience of Prayer Rooms, the motivating story of Red Moon Rising by Pete Greig and via the internet. The holy chaos that is the spread of the movement globally is a wonderful and messy expression of the life of prayer in the Church. We don't own 24-7 Prayer - God does. So we love it when people grab hold of the vision and spread it further than we imagined.

There are many ways you could spread the vision of 24-7 Prayer. Here are just a few practical ideas:

• Red Moon Rising - this book records the early years of the movement and has inspired so many people to pray. Why not buy a copy read it yourself, sign your name in the front cover and hand it to a friend you think may be inspired. When they've read it, they sign their name and pass it on. Leave a note in the book that after one year you'd like the owner to send it back to you and if it works you have a written record of all the hands it's passed through and maybe even comments about what impact it had on them!
• The Vision Poem - The Vision Poem was written by Pete Greig in the first ever 24-7 Prayer Room as poetic expression of why we are praying day and night. It is a stirring piece of work that has already been turned into artwork, music and translated into many different languages. Why not interpret or displat the poem through another art form or medium for people to read and respond to.
• Taste & See - Why not volunteer to run a 24-7 Prayer Room at a large national gathering or conference? Often when people experience what it's like praying creatively they're keen to take it home and do it themselves.
• Translation - We are always looking for people who are willing to volunteer their time and who have the language skill to translate our Prayer Room resources into their native language. If you are fluent in English and would like to volunteer we would love to hear from you.
• 24-7 Rewind - 24-7 sends out weekly emails packed with a selection of the most encouraging testimonies, informative teaching and up to date news from the global movement. Why not sign up yourself and encourage others to do the same.
• Get Talking - Talk about 24-7 Prayer in many different places: in conversation, on social networks online, blog about your experiences and see who responds.
