24-7 Ibiza Short Term Team Opportunities

Ibiza is a small, but beautiful Spanish Mediterranean island, often known as the party capital of Europe. 

24-7 Ibiza works predominantly in the West End of San Antonio, an area that claims to have more bars and clubs per square mile than anywhere else in Europe. 

We see open drug taking, binge drinking, people vomiting or collapsed in the street, fights, nudity, people having sex in public places……  but in all this, we see broken people who need to be cared for and deserve the chance to experience God, who loves them individually and passionately.

April Team

Before the busy summer begins, we plan to spend time praying, giving the season over to God, preparing the way for the summer months ahead – read more in the 'Summer Teams' section.

We'll pray as we walk quiet streets, beaches, bars and clubs that will soon burst into life and activity.

We'll pray in significant and beautiful places on the island.

We'll pray in our centre – for the work and the people that we will meet.

We'll dance at world famous Pacha and worship, pray and celebrate life and music.

We'll pray that God would drench this place with his presence, that people would be touched by his love and that they would know God's truth which sets them free.

Summer Teams

24-7 Ibiza aim to show the love of God to the people we meet here.  

We believe in blessing, not selling, trusting that it’s God’s kindness that leads us to repentance.

We seek to care for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the people that we meet and we do this by...

offering to pray with people,
cleaning up someone who’s vomiting,
helping vulnerable people – drunk, drugged, injured or alone - to a safe place,
listening to someone’s story or frustrations of the day,
celebrating good news and happy times with people,
taking someone who’s been injured to the medical centre,
sharing our faith and stories of God with those who are keen to hear seeking to bring calm to agitated people and stressful situations

We practice a rhythm of breathing in and out – time spent with God breathing Him in, and time spent with others, breathing out the life of God.  Our night time work reflects this with time spent in prayer in our centre and time out on the streets.  

In addition to night time work, for summer 2010 we want to involve teams in the work at our drop in centre in the afternoons for the first time. We plan to set aside space and time for people to use their specific talents to serve and bless the workers that call in.

We're thinking manicures, pedicures, hair styling, massage, dj lessons.... and we're very open to other ideas.  Tell us what you can do!

For those who've been before, the afternoons will be a little different; we are still dreaming and scheming!  But we want to spend more time just being in the places where people are during the day – talking, praying, hearing from God.

And of course, no trip to Ibiza would be complete without experiencing some of the clubs!  We will go to one of the big San Antonio clubs to pray, worship and dance with some of the people we meet out on the street.  There will also be the chance to go to at least one of the other world renowned clubs here in Ibiza.
