24-7 Invites You to The Feast

The 24-7 Feast from the 19th-22nd October 2007 is now fully booked.  If you were hoping to come, but haven't booked your place yet we're sorry to say there is no space left.  We will have to turn away people who arrive but have not reserved a place.

This is the first year 24-7 has opened its international gathering to the wider movement and the response has been so positive we will make sure we are able to accommodate more people in 2008.  Please pray for us as we meet in Seville, Spain next week.  We look forward to reporting on all God does.

This year we’ll be meeting and feasting in the beautiful Spanish city of Seville.

The Bible is full of feasts and festivals. Three times a year, the people of God travelled to Jerusalem (quite a trek for many) in order to celebrate God’s protection, provision and presence. Everyone was commanded to bring gifts in proportion to the blessing they had received. When we gather in Spain this year, the centre-piece will be a large communal meal, where we will tell stories, break bread, give thanks to God and have fun. We will also, of course, give time to prayer and worship, renew friendships, receive biblical teaching and we will commission new 24-7 ministries. You are encouraged to bring a gift – a song, a story, a gift, an insight, a good report - as God requests in Exodus 23:15:

“Celebrate the Feast... No one is to appear before me empty-handed.”

If your passion is to see Christ worshipped and the world transformed through movements and communities of prayer, mission and justice and if you’re seeking to outwork that vision responsibly in the context of the 24-7 movement, then come and connect with others who feel the same from the 19th-21st October.

Who can come?

In previous years we’ve had to turn people away from our leadership gatherings and so this year we are deliberately flinging the doors wider than before. In the past, people have expressed a desire to bring their friends and contacts in order to connect with the wider 24-7 movement. That’s why this year we’re making arrangements to welcome a broader cross-section of the movement than ever before. You are invited, and so are your friends!

Why Seville?

The 24-7 Feast is being hosted in the beautiful city of Seville in the southwest of Spain, home of the La Giralda (the bell tower of one of the largest Cathedrals in the world), the Alcázar Palace and the Archive of the Indies (where the historical records of the American continent are kept).
With so much to enjoy and explore we are grateful to the 24-7 community in Seville who are welcoming us to their city.  We will be meeting at the Sevilla Youth Hostel where the first 95 to book their places at The 24-7 Feast will have the option to be accommodated. Please book your place this week to ensure that you reserve your room at the heart of the action and with the rest of the group. Sadly we cannot possibly accommodate everyone in the hostel, so those who delay registering will be given a list of recommended alternative accommodation and asked to make their own arrangements elsewhere in the city.

This year, for the first time, we are offering childcare at the gathering. We very much hope that wives and husbands will be able attend together. If you would like to bring your family, please contact Carla Harding for an application form.
