Don't you hate it when you miss a birthday?

Dear Friends,

In September 1999 we gathered to pray in a room in Chichester. Last month we celebrated the 9th anniversary of 24-7 Prayer with 1,000s of people praying non-stop around the world in over 30 nations!

In 9 years many things have changed in 24-7 Prayer.
 
We have grown from a single prayer room into a global prayer movement. We have grown from a few friends organising everything, to having staff and volunteers in many countries serving a family of ministries. We have also grown into an agency making a tangible difference amongst the poor, the lost and the oppressed, with 50 long-term missional communities.
 
In 9 years one thing has not changed and that is our vision to change the world through Christ-centred prayer and mission.
 
With the global financial crisis provoking millions to seek answers, we know that 24-7 Prayer has been raised up for such a time as this. It's not a time to back off from prayer & engagement. We believe this really could be our greatest hour and we are determined to push ahead courageously. At one level this is a crazy time to ask for money, but we know that God's bank is secure & the challenge is urgent.

Our fundraising strategy is to pray - and in 9 years we've never gone without. However, we also love the fact that God provides through friends and this is the reason I am writing to you with the following request.
