Prayer is Changing the World! By Pete Greig

Pete Greig, July 14th, 2009

This week non-Christian teenagers are experiencing God in a 24-7 Prayer Room. Not in a church building but at their school in Romford, England. The most personal stories can’t be shared but one girl said she could feel ‘something different’ even before she entered the room. A hand-written prayer asks God ‘If you have done something really bad, can you be forgiven?’

In Scotland recently a cancerous tumour disappeared from a woman’s body in answer to prayer. Doctors at Ayr Hospital and Glasgow Royal Infirmary are astounded.

Meanwhile, in Russia a nineteen-year-old walked into a 24-7 Prayer Room and gave his life to Jesus. Where all previous explanations of the gospel had failed, the simple presence of God made the difference.

If you long to see stories like these continue and the power of prayer increase in this generation, we desperately need your help.

Our policy, whenever 24-7 has a specific need, is simply to pray and then ‘let our needs be known’ quietly, without hype. I thought you’d want to know, therefore, that we’re facing significant financial challenges right now and for the first time in our history we’re actually facing the grim possibility of failing to pay bills and wages next month. We’re praying, fasting and trusting God to provide because we just don’t have the money to get us through the next few weeks without a miracle. Please stand with us by clicking the Donate button above and making a donation large or small. We really need your help. Together we can continue mobilising this generation to ‘pray without ceasing’ (1 Thess. 5:17).

Thanks for your support,

Pete Greig
