Rotterdam Central Station has direct routes from Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport, as well as Brussels, Antwerp, Paris, and London (Eurostar).
The train to Rotterdam Central from Amsterdam is the intercity direct – this is the most direct service and needs a different ticket (30 minutes).
To get to the venue from Rotterdam Central it is a 30-minute walk. Or you can catch a train to Rotterdam Blaak (3 minutes). From Blaak you can take the Metro to Metrostation Oostplein (2 minutes) and walk to the venue (6 minutes), or walk directly from Blaak (15 minutes.)
You can fly into Rotterdam The Hague Airport, or you can fly into Amsterdam Schiphol Airport which has a 25 minute train directly into the heart of Rotterdam.
It is possible to travel to Rotterdam from the UK via ferry with daily departures from Harwich to Hook of Holland. Cabins are available. Hook of Holland is a 30-minute drive to central Rotterdam, and also connected by public transport.
Rotterdam is easy to reach by coaches throughout Europe. There are daily coaches from London Victoria which makes use of the Dover to Calais ferry route.
Rotterdam is easily accessible by car.
Parking on the road is pretty expensive (€3/hour). Some parking garages are less expensive in the area.
Cheaper is the Park&Ride – Kralingse Zoom 70, 3062 SM Rotterdam. Park and take the metro (A, B, C) to Gerdesiaweg (6 min). Park first 72 hours for free (after that €0.50/14 minutes – €21/ day) (metro tickets are needed for payment)
In addition to the metro and taxi services, Rotterdam has excellent cycle routes. Bikes can easily be rented via apps such as Donkey Republic and Lime, and are a great way to explore the city.

Carla Harding
Director of Resources, 24-7 Prayer
Pete is a best-selling author, pastor and bewildered instigator of the 24-7 Prayer movement which has reached more than half the nations on earth. He is also the Senior Pastor of Emmaus Rd, Guildford, England, an Ambassador for the NGO Tearfund, and teaches at St Mellitus Theological College in London. For 7 years Pete served with the senior leadership team at HTB and Alpha International. Pete's publications include 'Red Moon Rising', 'God on Mute', ‘The Prayer Course’, and 'Dirty Glory'. He loves art galleries, live music and knocking down walls.
Tyler is the Lead Pastor of Bridgetown Church and National Director of 24-7 Prayer USA. He’s also the author of Searching for Enough and Praying Like Monks, Living Like Fools.
He lives in Portland with his wife, Kirsten, and their three sons, Hank, Simon and Amos.
Tania is a pastor, practical theologian, author, broadcaster and the Director of God Conversations, a global ministry that equips people to recognise and respond to God’s voice.
Tania consults with denominations and movements and trains church leaders in Spirit-led discipleship and the development of communities that facilitate hearing God experiences. Her books, podcasts, academic research and media broadcasts all aim to equip everyone to recognise the Spirit in the context of their local church. Tania is an ordained minister with the Australian Christian Churches. She makes her home in Sydney, Australia.
Carla was born in Ireland but lives in England with her husband and two children. She loves prayer, music and a challenge to get her teeth into. Carla’s life was hijacked by God in the very first 24-7 Prayer Room, and she now helps create resources like Lectio 365 to help others encounter God like she did. In her spare time she loves to sing, read and eat good food with great friends.
Langa Mbonambi is the founder and leader of We Will Worship. Through the ministry of We Will Worship he has played a leading role in pioneering contemporary song writing in indigenous languages across the African continent. He is married to Unathi and together they have four children, Kumi, Hubo, Zizwe and Inala. He currently serves as the pastor of Every Nation Church in Muldersdrift, Johannesburg.
Nkosinathi Mbuyazi is the National Director for 24-7 Prayer in South Africa. Nkosinathi is passionate about prayer having been inspired by his praying mom from a young age in the rural setting of KwaZulu/Natal in South Africa. He also enjoys preaching the gospel and facilitating reconciliation initiatives across his nation.
Nkosinathi has been a pastor in Cape Town for the past 18 years, where he lives with his wife Ziyanda, and 3 daughters: Khololukhulu (16), Bonokuhle (13), Dumoluhle (10). When not actively engaging the leadership of 24-7 Prayer in South Africa, Nkosinathi can be found at a local coffee shop with a friend; training for a marathon; cooking dinner for the family; or hosting dinners with visiting friends and family on their long table!
Dot is the National Director for 24-7 Prayer GB, and is passionate about the intersection between prayer, mission and justice. She's based in Cardiff, Wales.
Daniel is part of the pastoral staff at CORASON church in Cusco, Peru and has worked with 24-7 Prayer Peru for the last two years.
Sam is the pastor of Bay Vineyard church in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, and serves as the National Coordinator for 24-7 Prayer New Zealand.
Aitor and Loida lead Oración 24-7 Spain, they develop and adapt 24-7 Prayer resources for all the Spanish speaking world. Among these resources are El curso de oración, and the Spanish version of Lectio 365.
They have always been linked with worship and they have their own musical project called Radär.
They love to go for walks on the beach, the mountain and enjoying good food with friends and their community.
Aitor, Loida and their little girl Meghan live in Northern Spain, in Santander.
Jonathan and Esther and their three teenagers live with 15 adults and students and two babies in a residential community. Alongside a wider prayer community they pray for Rotterdam, asking: what could happen if people start praying for their city?
Denise is the National Coordinator of 24-7 Prayer Netherlands. Denise is part of the local 24-7 Prayer community in Rotterdam where they facilitate rhythms of prayer and aim to serve the city.
Aisha Sharifa was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She loves music, movies, cinnamon rolls and just plain old good times with plenty of laughter. Aisha is the co-founder of The Toronto House of Prayer and National Coordinator for 24-7 Prayer Canada.
Trudi is the national director of 24-7 Prayer Australia and pastor at Red Church. She’s married to Mark and is the mother to three wonderful children.
Drew and Mary have lived in the Middle East for the last 15 years and seen moments of crisis lead to kingdom breakthrough.
Christine is the Author and developer of ReFraming the Prophetic, a biblical reflection course on the gift and purpose of the prophetic. She is also the founder of Akouo Missions.
Phil and Emma Togwell live in the North-East of England with their extended family (daughters, foster mum/baby, lodger, dogs). Phil is the International Director of Prayer Spaces in Schools and is a regular host on the Lectio 365 and Lectio for Families apps. Phil runs a lot and he still plays Pokemon Go. Sarah is married to Pete, and mum to two adopted children. She’s worked in recovery for young men coming out of gangs and drugs for 15 years, and she’s a church leader and writer. She’s passionate about children finding belonging and love in family.
Adam Cox is married to his best friend Juli, a South African, and they have three lovely daughters. Originally from North Carolina, he has lived in Kansas City since 2000. A life-changing encounter with Jesus at seventeen changed the whole course of his life. Adam, along with a few of his closest friends, co-founded Navah Church, a 24-7 Prayer community where he serves as Lead Elder. He is also involved in Pray KC and coaches other communities within the global 24-7 Prayer network. Adam co-authored "The God Story" encapsulating his passion for scripture and desire to see a generation encounter God’s unfailing love. His simple joys include friendships, walks, sports and as much time at the sea as possible
Alain Emerson is Director of 24-7 Prayer Communities Network, lead pastor of Emmanuel Church Portadown, and author of Luminous Dark and The God Story.
Roger has pioneered many things: starting churches, national Christian movements and fishing businesses. Over the last decade, Roger has led the24-7 Community Networks and recently handed over the leadership. He spends his time coaching leaders, supporting church networks, writing, and where possible fishing.
Jordan and Vanessa moved from California to Grenoble to pastor Refuge Church, a bilingual church. They've also opened a House of Prayer that they use as a coffee shop to reach their neighbours. They love the outdoors, reading and travelling.
Brian Heasley is the International Prayer Director for 24-7 Prayer and travels around the world helping to establish 24-7 Prayer teams and offices in nations.
Before this, Brian and his wife Tracy pioneered the work of 24-7 Prayer in Ibiza, Spain, where they developed rhythms of prayer and mission. Brian’s book, Gatecrashing, tells the story of 24-7 Prayer in Ibiza. He is a gifted and passionate communicator with a real heart for prayer, mission and justice. Brian is originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, and now lives in England. Brian and Tracy have two adult sons.
Elisa has over 15 years' experience as a business consultant in change management, culture transformation and leadership development. Elisa is also the director and co-founder of Loretto UK, a Catholic Charismatic Community born in Austria and now spread across Europe.
Elisa joined the Board of 24-7 Prayer in 2019. She also serves as a trustee of Divine Renovation UK and she is part of the faculty at the Leadership College London.
Emily Lord works for 24-7 Prayer, supporting Prayer Room organisers internationally as they set up and run 24-7 Prayer spaces. She is passionate about people experiencing intimate encounter with Jesus in the thin place of the Prayer Room, and equipping churches to ignite their prayer life. A worship leader at her home church, her heart is to see lives transformed and communities changed through encounter in prayer and worship.
Nataliya Yelizarova is part of Steiger Ministries, a radical youth, discipleship and evangelism movement.
Ian Nicholson is a leader within 24-7 Payer and develops networks across Europe. He's also been a pastor, charity director and missionary in Eastern Europe.
Jill has founded and led Houses of Prayer for almost 25 years and leads the WaverleyAbbey Community, UK. She’s also Global Convenor of the Order of the Mustard Seed and a regular contributor to Lectio365, spiritual director and author.
Lou Moore is the Communities Operations Director for 24-7 Prayer. Part of Revelation Family Church in Chichester, she’s passionate about connecting communities and facilitating networks of prayer.
Charlie Kang is a multi-disciplinary artist exploring new-monastic living at Waverley Abbey. His work focuses on creating environments that foster a deeper connection with God through prayer and service.
Sabine is the European Coordinator for 24-7 Prayer.
She is a trained sociologist and has served with the German association of evangelical missions and the German Fresh Expressions Team, where she directs the internship program and outreach to young adults. She has a heart for discipleship, mission and exploring the thin places, where heaven touches earth.
She lives with her family in the beautiful southern part of Germany near Tübingen. In her spare time she enjoys Terry Pratchett’s Discworld Novels, pilgrimage on horseback and traveling.
Joanna leads 24-7 Prayer’s International Comms team. She first encountered 24-7 Prayer in a central Belfast Prayer Room as a teenager and now loves helping individuals and communities to delve deeper in prayer each day. Joanna is passionate about pretty much everything, but especially good food, coffee and building community.
The Gathering is an annual event run by 24-7 Prayer that brings together people from across the international movement with a passion to revive the church and rewire the culture through non-stop night and day prayer, mission and justice. We’re going to Rotterdam for The Gathering ’24: a time of prayer, worship and teaching as we join from different countries to share together and seek God’s presence. The Gathering’24 will be an in-person event, but also live-streamed if you can’t join us in person.
Every year at The Gathering, we host a legendary party, and as part of the fun, individuals and groups bid hundreds of pounds for homemade items. The funds we raise travel all around the world to support what God is doing. In the past, your generosity has paid rent for single mums, supported the growth of new 24-7 Prayer teams, sent the good news of Jesus where it’s needed most, and so much more.

Unfortunately day tickets will not be available this year due to unprecedented ticket sales for the full event. We expect the venue to be at capacity everyday of the Gathering.

The Gathering ’24 will start on the evening of Thursday 31 October, and end on the evening of Saturday 2nd November (exact timings are to be confirmed and may be subject to change).
While we can't recommend specific places in Rotterdam, there are plenty of hotels around the venue and AirBnBs in the wider area. The 24-7 Prayer team will be staying across two hotels: CitizenM, and Motto by Hilton.
We’re inviting you to a birthday party like no other. At this year’s Gathering, we’ll be celebrating 25 years since the launch of the first ever 24-7 Prayer room, and a quarter of a century of unbroken prayer across the globe.
Our Gatherings are always an opportunity to pray, worship and learn together, but this year is special. This year we’ll be celebrating the significant journey that’s brought us here, and we’ll be looking ahead to how God is inviting us to partner with him, to build his kingdom in our nations and in our world.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!

The 24-7 Prayer Netherlands team are welcoming us to Rotterdam for The Gathering ’24, and we’re so excited! There’s a 24-7 House of Prayer in Rotterdam, and if you were at The Gathering last year, you might remember that the Generosity Auction raised money to help the team launch a community cafe. We’re looking forward to seeing the cafe, visiting the house of prayer, and experiencing Dutch hospitality.
Rotterdam is a beautiful city with plenty of accommodation and great transport links to the rest of Europe.
