14th December, 2009

We started a series a few weeks ago profiling a few of the unsung hero’s beneath the surface of this ever-growing 24-7 community.  Today I have the privilege of introducing one of the most faithful servants who’s work has impacted even you.

Can Prayer Impact Human Trafficking?

7th December, 2009

God has been speaking to many of us about a similar issue.  When I wrote a 24-7 blog post calling for Prayer about human trafficking, I was slightly overwhelmed by the response.

A Day of Heroes By Lyndall Bywater

26th October, 2009

This week I have been mostly making history. For starters, I am one of the first non-officer guests to stay at The Salvation Army’s International College of Officers in London.

Tens of thousands of people from all over the United States of America gathered last June in the state of Kentucky to see some of the biggest bands in the world at the Ichthus Christian Music festival. Shout the Gospel from the Rooftops!

5th October, 2009

What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. (Matthew 10:27)

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

14th September, 2009

Or from underneath your arms, down your back all the way to your hips? Tears are meant to be shared, from one pair of eyes to the other. You're not supposed to cry by yourself.

Let the Children Come to Me

24th August, 2009

It struck me the other day that perhaps my most promising disciple at the moment is an eight-year-old towhead named Preston, who lives in my neighborhood.  I befriended his mom at the local pool last summer and since have spent time nearly every week with this precious, but broken family.

The Leaky Prayer Room

17th August, 2009

Today I stood in an old bowling club home of the 24-7 Boiler Room in Guildford, England. A mixed bunch of friends and strangers gathered around praying.

Blood on the Doorstep By Susanna Rychiger

27th July, 2009

I was recently asked, ‘what does a typical Friday morning in your Community house in Thun, Switzerland look like?’  The question threw me a little, when you live with a community of people all focused on loving Jesus and living the best they can slap bang in the middle of the nightlife of our city… there isn’t a lot that’s normal.  The only way to answer their question was to describe just one recent Friday and how we responded to blood on our doorstep… 1am – I wake up slowly, through the open window I hear loud screams from the streets.
