I love this big 24-7 Prayer family.
I love that I get a note in my inbox in Tanzania from a 19 yr old art student friend in New York city saying, "I want God back in my life but I don't even know how to start that relationship again..."
I love that she is asking me because, yes, I'm a friend of the family, but also because she associates me with something out of the box with God, by virtue of my belonging within 24-7.
I love that when she asks me if there are any 24-7 connections on New York City, I have to ask Wendy and Allison and Lindsay in the 24-7 USA team. I love that they tell me Linnea Spransy (pioneering artist and Kansas City Boiler Room member) is going to NYC next month and that she says she'll be happy to look up my young artist friend.
I love that this happens in a matter of hours and I can let my young artist know that a crazily gifted artist who has a living relationship with Jesus will be more than happy to make time for her soon right there in Brooklyn. I am grateful and humbled to be part of such an amazing group of people connected by prayer across the globe...

Lisa Borden (along with her husband Byron) has spent the last twenty two years nurturing new Christians first among the Maasai in Kenya's wilderness, then among urban tribes of young people in Europe. They are now living in Tanzania to continue living out the prayer, justice and mission calling on their lives. While balancing the roles of wife, mother, and pastor / teacher / missionary, Lisa has found that singing in the shower and dancing in the kitchen keeps her sane. To dialogue with Lisa and learn more from her, visit her blog. Lisa and Byron have also set up a website to chronicle the stories of hope from Africa they are involved in.
