Each year, 24-7 holds a competition at our international gathering to raise money for people or projects within the 24-7 movement. Previous challenges have included customising copies of Red Moon Rising and making T-Shirts with a 24-7 theme. People from all over the globe have entered with great enthusiasm. The humour and energy of the event have always been a high point of the gathering.
All entrants not only compete for first prize, but also for their entries to be auctioned off to the highest bidder. In this fun and creative way we have raised thousands of euros, pounds and dollars for people and projects in places like Tanzania, Sweden and Mexico. It is very moving to see people giving sacrificially to bless members of the 24-7 family. This year’s recipients have yet to be chosen, we like to ask for suggestions and we take time as a movement to pray about it at the 'Home' gathering. To take part in the generous merriment all you need to do is… drum roll please…
Simple right?
Feel free to approach the challenge seriously or humorously, there is no required CD length though points will be given for creative presentation. If you would like to use music that you legitimately own in creating you mix CD please clearly state the title and artist of each song. When the winner of the auction receives your entry they will also receive an iTunes voucher that will allow them to legally purchase the songs you've suggested. We like to keep things above board and respect the musicians we love listening to whilst having a lot of fun ad raising some money.
Get your ticket to ‘Home’ and start mixing those tunes. Let the contest begin!
