During the months of January and February 2008, 24-7 Prayer toured the United Kingdom fuelling persistent prayer, prayer that spills into mission, prayer that births communities and prayer that transforms. The tour stopped off in Guildford, Nottingham, Southampton, Torbay, Aberystwyth, Colchester, London, Liverpool, Gateshead, Edinburgh, Bristol and Sheffield.
At each of the these 12 locations a copy of ‘Red Moon Rising’ (the story of 24-7 prayer) was left behind. Each of these copies of 'Red Moon Rising' then hit the road to be read by as many people as possible around the UK and far beyond.
From nations like Communist China, to the ranks of the Salvation Army and in unexpected places like anarchic German punk festivals, the 24-7 Prayer movement has been interceding continually since 1999 in more than sixty countries. A new generation is learning to pray and obey like never before. By picking up a copy of Red Moon Rising, the reader can meet the people behind the movement, hear just a few of the life-changing stories and the challenges we’ve faced. You’ll be laughing, crying and praying through one of the most inspiring books you’ll read this year. Our story demonstrates that anything is possible when ordinary people say "yes!" to the whispers of an Almighty God.
Do you have one of the 12 copies currently circulating the UK and beyond? If you do, we want to hear from you! Send an email uk@24-7prayer.com with the current location of the copy in your possession and where it's heading next. Remember the idea is that the story of 24-7 prayer gets passed around to as many people as possible so we can read it, graffiti it, scribble on it and write notes in the margins. Also so that the front pages get filled with all the names/locations where the book has travelled! Then whoever has it at the end of August 2008 needs to post it back to us so we can see which copy has travelled the furthest and been the most read. if you have a copy, make sure it's doing its travelling thing. Happy Reading!
If you have one of the pilgrim copies of Red Moon Rising at the end of August 2008, be sure you post it back to:
