Pray for Iran!

"As we watch the current political events in Iran unfold, we want to ask you to intercede especially for the church in Iran this week and for the nation.  Please share these special prayer requests with your Christian friends and your church.   Please pray:

1. That the situation will unfold according to God’s plan and purpose for His church and the salvation of the Iranian people.
2. That the situation will be resolved without further bloodshed and that violence will be restrained. Pray that God will raise up righteous men to lead the nation.
3. For wisdom for Christians, many very young in the Lord, to be wise witnesses in the nation at this time.
4. That the hundreds of thousands Scriptures that have been distributed in Iran in recent years will be read during these days and that the Holy Spirit will speak to many lives.

Elam was founded in 1988 by senior Iranian church leaders with a vision to serve the growing church in the Iran region. From the beginning, Elam's passion was to train and equip Iranian Christians to reach and disciple their country men. In 1990 six emerging leaders arrived in England from Iran to begin their fulltime ministry training. They lived in a small, two-bedromm flat and used the kitchen as a classroom. Since then, Elam has seen many years of God's faithfulness. By God's grace, the ministry is growing and is being used to strengthen and expand the church in the Iran region in a significant way.
