Wandsworth Salvation Army Boiler Room

24-7 Prayer has always had a special relationship with the Salvation Army. In the UK, the Army were the first the experiment with a year of prayer, and saw God answer in incredible ways. Worldwide, many SA territories have done something similar.

It is no surprise then that Salvation Army and Boiler Rooms can work together. This happened first in Wandsworth. They couldn't resist a mixture of prayer and devotion, with mission and practical service to the poor. In many ways, this is historic the DNA of the Salvation Army.

Jo and Alana Norton and the team lead the community in South London. Opposite a brewery, their purpose-built venue has banners around the wall declaring the six values. A prayer room can be found at the rear of the building. A kitchen and space for hospitality are central.

Wandsworth is unique in being formed from an existing SA Corps. We are essentially transitioning an entire congregation into this model of community.
