Eastern Territory
On June 9, 2006 The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory commenced a non-stop Year of Prayer, inviting Salvationists and friends to establish prayer rooms in their local corps, divisional camps, headquarters, and Adult Rehabilitation Centers. Our comrades committed to covering one week of non-stop prayer in the prayer room established at their local Salvation Army center. The Eastern Territory didn't stop in June 2007, and to date they have maintained over 18 months of non-stop prayer and over 200 Salvation Army units have participated by establishing a non-stop prayer room.
Countless stories of fresh encounter with the Holy Spirit, salvation, healing, reconciliation and renewal have come out of these prayer rooms. Samplings of these are posted on our website. Additionally, there are many in the territory who have experienced a heightened awareness of the presence of the Lord at territorial and divisional events, in local meetings, in the prayer rooms, and in their own hearts. There is a growing conviction that we are at the beginning of a significant shift in the life of the territory.
Every day there is someone - an individual or a group - who is fasting and praying, and 24-7 Prayer Rooms continue to burn across the Territory. More than 5000 Prayer Calendars have been distributed throughout the Territory, to guide our prayers with monthly themes and Scripture focus, daily Scripture readings, special dates and observances from the Church Calendar and within the Army calendar. Southern Territory
In June 2007, the USA Southern Territory commenced a year of non-stop prayer, shared between more than 50 groups. Their College for Officer Training (seminary) in Atlanta began with one week of 24-7 prayer back in November 2007, and has decided to go non-stop throughout the entire school year!
Jude Gotrich, the Territorial Director for Worship Development & Prayer Initiative, writes, "It has been a whirlwind year of prayer in the south and I have barely been able to keep up with the wind of the spirit as it has swept across our territory. Our 24/7 prayer has been going strong since last June and we will round up our inaugural year this June...
"But it will not end there! We have decided to extend the 24/7, ad infinitum..."

As of September 2007 the USA Western Territory also began a non-stop Year of Prayer...
Central Territory
The Central Territory is embarking on one quarter of the year (12 -13 weeks) of nonstop prayer!
