Each year, 24-7 holds a competition at our international gathering to raise money for people or projects within the 24-7 movement. Previous challenges have included customising copies of Red Moon Rising and making T-Shirts with a 24-7 theme.

We’ll be meeting from Friday evening through to Sunday evening in a mixture of meetings to enjoy, be equipped and explore our theme.

During the months of January and February 2008, 24-7 Prayer toured the United Kingdom fuelling persistent prayer, prayer that spills into mission, prayer that births communities and prayer that transforms. The tour stopped off in Guildford, Nottingham, Southampton, Torbay, Aberystwyth, Colchester, London, Liverpool, Gateshead, Edinburgh, Bristol and Sheffield.

Tickets for Home, the 24-7 Prayer International Gathering, are selling fast. People have booked in from Europe, Africa and the Americas and are preparing to travel distances great and small to join with the rest of the global movement in Southampton, England.

As the 24-7 Prayer Movement diversifies and grows, we’re endeavouring to ignite and fuel prayer throughout the globe in as many different languages as we can manage. The prayer support team are currently resourcing churches and communities worldwide in English, Spanish, French, German and Swedish.

Two German monks who visited the 24-7 Boiler Room community in Ramsdorf, near Leipzig, are now topping the British music charts! Their CD of Gregorian chants simply called ‘CHANT – music for Paradise’ has been a surprise hit with eighteen ‘Five Star’ reviews on Amazon. ‘It’s really funny to see these guys in the British album charts alongside Radiohead and The Zutons,’ says Markus Laegel, leader of the Ramsdorf community.

The church that started the Alpha Course has invited Pete Greig, one of the founding champions of 24-7, to become their Director of Prayer. From September, Pete will split his time between his ongoing commitment to 24-7 Prayer and this new role at Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB), in London.
