I’ve often said that I have the best job in 24-7 Prayer.  Every Monday I start my week by saying ‘Hi’ to lots of people praying in 24-7 Prayer Rooms across the globe.  This morning as I opened my Internet browser and wondered whom I’d be chatting to, I stopped, smiled and knew I was right…

This week we have 32 Prayer Rooms praying in 12 nations spread across five continents of the world!

13 in the USA
7 in the UK
2 in Canada
2 in Fiji
1 in the Netherlands
1 in the United Arab Emirates
1 in South Africa
1 in Slovakia
1 in Australia
1 in Cuba
1 in Germany
1 in Switzerland

Isn’t that incredible?  Lets say that only one person is praying in each of those creative sacred spaces right now, that still means that there is someone talking to the Father in Minnesota, USA whilst someone else is doing the same in Samabula, Fiji: such different cultures and people all joining in prayer before the same almighty God!

Stats are a tough thing to rely on, not because they exaggerate but because they capture only a fraction of the movement of prayer across the globe.  You can double that number of prayer rooms to 64 and that would still be a conservative reflection of who’s actually praying today.

24-7 Prayer is truly a wild move of the Holy Spirit that we could not control or connect in its entirety even if we tried to.  I love that!  I feel safe knowing this is in God’s hands, not something we’ve drummed up from our own passion and perspiration.  If you’d like some encouragement today, or maybe a little inspiration for saying thanks to your father, then take a look at our prayer diary and marvel at the many tribes and tongues spending time with God in December.
