In these dark, smelly, cramped and unbelievably beautiful spaces we know as Prayer Rooms, amazing stories are born. More and more we are hearing brave tales of people meeting with God in a Prayer Room and feeling compelled to go out into the world carrying the Good News. As we spend time with God we are changed and start to care the same way He does. Jesus tells us “Go into the world and preach the good news to all creation” (Matt 16:15); we are always called to give away this amazing gift that we have been given. Here are some adventures people have had with God when they decided to take that bold leap of faith and let prayer leave the room… 

 What was God up to in 2011? ….

One of the huge privileges of working at the International 24-7 Prayer office is that you get to see some of what God is doing all over the World, from America to Asia, Heaven is impacting the Earth. Over the next month we would like to share some of the amazing stories we have gathered from 2011. We have split them up into different themes we feel God was highlighting. 
David continually teaches us in Psalms to remember the wondrous works of God, to think on them day and night. We pray that as you read your faith would increase and you would be inspired. He proves Himself again and again to be a God who “is able to do more then we could hope or imagine” (Eph 3:20). Enjoy…..

 

"One night during the week a ministry team went into a local kebab shop, they got talking to the man behind the counter, they started to share the gospel with him. After a little while the man was so desperate to hear more about God and Jesus he locked up the shop so that they could speak in private without interruption. They ended up talking for an hour and a half after which this man gave his life to Jesus. It turns out he had very recently prayed asking for a greater understanding of who he was. Praise the Lord!!!" UK

 

 

"One Sunday in April 2011, someone in the Church came up to me and said, I think you might like to read this book: Red Moon Rising!  As I read the book an excitement grew like I've never felt before, it was an invitation from God to 24-7 prayer, and I am so glad I said yes. After our recent 24-7 we are now thinking of taking a 24-7 caravan to the local night clubs in Irvine." UK

 

 

“The YWAM team from Kona were just hanging out in the prayer room the other night and about 15 teenagers invaded the room and they all ended up praying and speaking words over each other. These kids are not church kids. They are just the kids that hang out on the streets or at the coffee shop. It has been so nice to see these kids find their way to the prayer room and then be open to prayer and to speaking life over each other.” Iceland

 

 

“One person came along to pray with a friend and finding everyone praying on the landing (explanation later) which was very cramped went to McDonalds to get coffee intending to come back and pray later. As they were sitting in McDonalds 4 of their non-Christian friends came and started talking to them. After a while they said to their non Christian friends that they were going back to the prayer room and would they like to come. Their friends said yes and they all went up to the room. While in the room the Holy Spirit came on one of the non Christians and they started crying at the end of which they said they were convinced there was a God." UK
