What was God up to in 2011? ….

One of the huge privileges of working at the International 24-7 Prayer office is that you get to see some of what God is doing all over the World, from America to Asia, Heaven is impacting the Earth. Over the next month we would like to share some of the amazing stories we have gathered from 2011. We have split them up into different themes we feel God was highlighting. 
David continually teaches us in Psalms to remember the wondrous works of God, to think on them day and night. We pray that as you read your faith would increase and you would be inspired. He proves Himself again and again to be a God who “is able to do more then we could hope or imagine” (Eph 3:20). Enjoy…..

“At the beginning we couldn’t find enough people to fill the slots, now we can’t find enough slots to fit the people”.

We receive the same line over and over again as people enter the wonderful world of 24-7 Prayer Rooms. The idea of these rooms is simple; find a room and encourage people to fill that room with continual prayer (often in 1 hour slots for a week).  However the impact of these rooms is extraordinary; people finding creative ways to quiet their souls and connect with Heaven. From painting to music and soaking to wailing, many meet with their Heavenly Father in profound ways and leave impacted by a God who is present.

Here at the 24-7 Prayer office we hear stories that everywhere across the world people are falling in love with Jesus as they spend time with Him in prayer. More than ever we are convinced that there is nothing more attractive than Jesus. Here are some quotes from people who had radical experiences running Prayer Rooms in 2011.

We had an absolutely great and blessed camp over New Year in St. Gallen! There were 4000 young people between 14 and 25 years old… Gods presence was everywhere. The prayer room was the best ever… I never had a prayer room like this before… 50 people in the room and not one noise… The God dimension reached a new level and the young people returning home are hungry to go out and build his kingdom, bringing his truth to the lost and deepening their relationship with Jesus. “Once people had been in they didn't want to leave the room and often it had 3-4 people in it with people signing up for extra time and staying beyond their slot." UK

"The majority of people have said that an hour isn’t enough and we have had many answered prayers and prophecies. It really has become an incredible space and we believe it will fire people up to pray more and do more.” South Africa

"The slots were full and double- (even triple!) booked by the weekend before it began, and despite a couple of no-shows the room saw a great deal of activity. Even at 5 in the morning it looked like Piccadilly Circus with 6 or 7 people trying to avoid catching one-anothers eye mid prayer! When we took the room down, the prayer and praise walls were so moving. One person wrote, “I’ve been in here for 13 hours. I had to chat about some stuff with my Dad.” The students took a whole night and even when their time was up at 7am most of them didn’t want to leave so just carried on.” UK

"For night slot you had to book in advance. When the doors opened again for all in the morning, there was a queue behind the doors." Finland
