Are you ready to change the world?
Mark Nelson  25th Aug 10

The central theme of the Magnify weekend is framed around releasing ‘A Vision to Change the World.’ As you get ready for your time in Edinburgh here are a few things the 24-7 team have come up with to make the most of your Magnify experience:

Come prepared – ‘Prepare your minds for action’ (1 Peter 1: 13). Are you expectant for God to move? Have you taken time to ask the Lord what He is saying to you already, and for our time together time? What might ‘A Vision to Change the World’ mean to you locally, what would a changed world look like in your neighborhood? Come expecting to contribute, when we gather we believe we all have a part to play.

Notebook – Magnify has an awesome line up of speakers, seminars, resources and some pretty special people hanging around all weekend. Check out the line up. Make sure you make the most of the time to take notes, enjoy the experience and take some written reflections home with you.

Gather your story: After ten years of prayer we want to share stories and give thanks for answers to prayer. Magnify will be a perfect opportunity to share your story with friends and have your heart encouraged and refreshed ready to run the race for the next 10 years!

Pack your shorts and sunglasses: We are always hopeful that Edinburgh will be filled with an end of summer heat wave, so its best to pack one pair of shorts just in case! And some trainers too for the city tour! (As I look out the window on a cold, wet day I’m also prompted to suggest you bring a warm jumper and waterproof too!)

Bring your creative entry: By now I am hoping that you have heard about the infamous hat competition. The prize for best made hat is bound to be epic so make sure you spend a few extra minutes preparing your entry, sowing those final bits and bobs on, spray painting colour in, decorating and enlarging your prize winning hat.

See you there!

Mark Nelson is currently taking time out to be Pete Greig's intern working both in the prayer department of a church called Holy Trinity Brompton in London and the communications team for 24-7 Prayer. He has just moved back in with his parents and loving it.... and just got engaged to his beautiful fiancee Jenna!

Wow, God is going to do great things in this world through the coming generations. He has just led a new generation to become fulltime interns for Healing Place Church, Baton Rouge, LA.
We are here to change the world through Servolution and to see God touch the hearts of those who need to know His love, grace, but also His Truth and ways of Justice.
